Manage a workspace

A workspace contains its agents, policies, decisions, members, and approval groups. Choose the intended workspace from the account menu before configuring an agent or reviewing activity.

Workspace owners and administrators use Members to invite people, manage roles, and review pending invitations. Owner, Administrator, and Member are workspace roles; approval eligibility also depends on membership in the group requested by a policy.

Where your organization manages identity centrally, some membership changes must be made through that provider. Review the status shown in Actera before assigning a person to an approval group.

Use Settings to view workspace details and change its display name where permitted.

Agent keys belong to one workspace and one agent. Manage them from the agent’s Connection panel. Store them in a secret manager and replace them before expiry.

Disconnecting a connection stops its key. Removing a person’s workspace access and revoking an agent connection are separate actions.

See Connect an agent for setup, replacement, and reconnection.

Owners and administrators can view Plan & usage for the current evaluation allowance, reset date, and limits on agents, policies, and members.

Draft policies count toward the policy allowance. Registered agents count before setup is complete, and outstanding invitations can reserve member capacity. Check the actual allowances displayed for your workspace rather than assuming a limit from an example.

A rate or monthly allowance limit can reject new evaluation requests with HTTP 429. Honor Retry-After and check the available allowance. Request retries remain subject to these checks, even when the same idempotency key returns an existing decision.

Plan allowances control access to the Actera service. Policy counters control your agents’ business activity, such as spending or refunds. A policy’s Allow result does not increase the workspace’s service allowance.
